Video Marketing – How to use it to grow your business?

Videos, Videos & videos.  They are everywhere. From funny videos to professional marketing videos. People are creating more videos than ever and searching for new video ideas. In this era of videos, you can also start with Video Marketing and take advantage of it to grow your business and brand to the next level.

In this post, I will tell you how you can leverage video marketing in your business today,- and start getting more clients immediately. 

So what do we actually mean by video marketing? Why is it important. How can we do  it? Let’s get started.

What is Video Marketing? 

In simple terms, Video marketing is using videos to promote and market your product or services. You can create explainer videos like how to use your product, or what your company does. Also, you can create tutorials of your service or product to teach people how to use it. You can create ads, whiteboard animation, use it for testimonials. The possibilities are endless to use videos as your marketing strategy.

So the question is do you really need video marketing for your business? Well, I want to ask you these questions:-

According to a report from HubSpot Research, more than 50% of consumers want to see videos from brands … more than any other type of content.

For eg., if you are currently doing business, you have a limited audience. Your reach is limited. With video marketing, you will have the opportunity to reach a wider audience and let people know you.  

Videos create trust. But to gain that trust you need to capture the viewer’s attention by creating high-quality engaging videos. Quality should always be the focus while creating videos.

How can we start with video marketing?

The most important thing while starting with video marketing is to have a STRATEGY. If you make random 2-3 videos about your product or services, it will not work. You need to begin with the end in mind.

Step 1 – is to figure out your goal or intention with video marketing.

You need to publish your content on social media channels like youtube, Facebook, Instagram & TikTok to get traffic. If you are creating valuable and engaging content, people will stumble upon your content and your brand or business will get noticed.

Step 3 – Keyword optimization

You might have the best content in the world but if it is not what your prospects or customers are searching for, your video will not get views. So how do you check what people are searching for? Well, there are several ways.

  1. Youtube suggested videos – Just type your topic on the search bar and you will start seeing some of the suggestions people are searching for related to your topic. Once you think you have got the keyword, you can search 
  2. Keywordtool.io – There is a website called keywordtool.io. Just go to their website and type your topic you want to make a video on. You will get a bunch of suggestions regarding your topic.

Now once you get to know what people are searching for, you need to create a video marketing campaign around those keywords. Put those keywords in title, description, and tags of your video so your videos are optimized around those keywords. 

Step 4 – Upload videos consistently

You need to upload these videos on a consistent basis. Once you are publishing regular videos, you will start gaining traction and people will start following you and watching your content. You can decide the frequency of publishing content yourself, either it is daily, weekly or monthly, but the important thing is to be consistent while publishing videos. The more videos you publish, the better for your brand. If your videos are coming up in search results on google or youtube, you will get a lot of traffic on your videos.

Shoot your makeup look so people can know-how is it like to get it done from you. If you are a choreographer, show them your dancing session.
  3. Video tutorials or how-to videos – There are a lot of things people wanting to learn on specific topics related to your niche. Find those topics and make a video tutorial on them. For eg. how to keep your skin glowing. How to pair x color with y color on your outfit. How to use your product. Also, It is far better and easy to make a video tutorial than to teach & explain to each and every client how to use your product. So create a video tutorial for the world before your competitor does.
  4. Videos about the Latest trends related to your industry – For a business or professional to grow it is important to keep evolving and updating yourself. What is in fashion. What are people drawn towards more? What the leaders in your industry are doing. If there are any modifications or updates you are planning, like you learned some new skill or bought something for your business, tell them to your audience. You can take it up a notch by sharing your day with people which will help to build a deeper connection with your audience.
  5. Question and answer videos or FAQs – Answer the most common problems or pain points that your customers are facing and give them the solutions to those problems. You can also go live on YouTube or Facebook to interact with your customers and answer their problems that you might not be aware of.
